BWdoggies > In Elements 5.0: 1)Enhance>adjust color>saturation slider all the way to left. Then Enhance>Adjust lighting>moved three levels arrows.

BWdoggies > This was practically black & white already. In Elements 5.0 Enhance>adjust color>moved saturation slider all the way to left. Then Enhance>adjust light>moved Levels sliders for this final effect.
